International road transport and logistics
We deliver parcel goods, full and part loads on the door-to-door basis. We offer planning, implementation and control of supply chain. Upon the client’s request we contact the consignee/consignor in a foreign country and make an agreement on the loading time.
Relying on our own vehicles (see Our vehicles), cooperation partners and contractual transport operators we are able to fix an optimal speed and fee for carrying your goods from point A to point B.
Restrictions to load
Restrictions applied to tent trailers in regard of transport under ordinary conditions:
- maximum load width 2.45 m
- maximum load height 2.68 m
- maximum load mass 24 t
NOTE: transport of oversize loads with the weight exceeding 24 tons is also possible - in this case a special permit must be applied for and as a result of this the cost of the haulage service increases.
We carry loads mainly to Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia. Our vehicles have been all over Europe at the request of our clients.
Baltlink AS cargo is covered with the CMR and Forwarder liability insurance.
Pursuant to EEA General Terms and Conditions and CMR Convention the forwarder / carrier is liable for a maximum of 8.33 SDR (exchange rate according the IMF quotation) for each gross kilogram of damaged or lost cargo. A separate insurance in respect of carriage of goods can be arranged upon transport of more expensive goods that would cover transport risks in the full extent of the value of goods.
Domestic transport
For domestic transport operations we use trucks equipped with tailgate lift and with the length of 7.4m, and also a semi-trailer, if necessary.
